[Timeline] Given a whole semester, create a business, organization, or institution with the topic of you choosing, highlighting the building blocks of branding, interaction, and service design.
[Initial Ideas] My classmates in and i participated in a "speed dating" activity to form groups fr this project. It was the wierdest thing I've had to do in studio so far but it ended up being helpful. Without knowing any extensive information about the subject, my teammates and I chose "Emotional Intelligence" as our desired topic.
[Entity] Children's Museum Exhibition & Online Community (Non Profit)
[Goals] “To provide kids ages 6-12 with tools that enable them to identify, understand, express, and manage their emotions. We envision a world where kids learn to make sense of and freely talk about their feelings at a young age in order to help them develop into emotionally mature individuals.”
[Challenges] The extended time length and freedom provided with this project was our biggest obstacle. Devoting a whole three months to something added pressure to make this project something really great, Additionally, for the first time, strutted deliverables were not given so the way we wanted to go about our project was up to us.
Another challenged we faced was developing this non profit to be as authentic as possible. There were a lot of hypothetical scenarios we had to thing through. Some questions we had to ask ourselves: "could this non profit exist in a school? If so who would run it and would the learning objectives be invasive?
